1. What is the purpose of the video?
This might seem obvious, but coming to us with a clear purpose will help our experts translate these ideas and help get the ball rolling when it comes to the early stages of the project.
2. Who is your target audience?
It is very easy to get caught up in who you are and what you do. The best approach is to consider who your audience is, and what they want. Their needs will be different to yours, and so the approach to your video will be different.
By thinking of this ahead of time, we can more easily talk through options and ideas with you. It will help inform style, script, animations, graphics, music, sound…every part of the production really.
You might be young and using TikTok daily, but your audience might be older and rarely use social media. This will change a lot about the production and final output.
3. What ideas do we already have?
Having a session before your meeting with us to brainstorm some ideas is great. They can be really out there, or as conservative as you like. This is just a starting point and we will work with you to either reign it in or push your boundaries.
Our team is very experienced, and we have worked on some really diverse projects. We can talk it through with you, but coming up with one or two ideas is a helpful starting point.
4. What is your ideal timeline/Do you have a deadline?
Start with when you need the final output, and work back from there. We will map out a timeline with you, but there might be key events in your organisation that we need to be aware of. Things like the only day certain members of staff are available, planned company away days etc. It’s all about organisation!
5. How and where will you use the video?
Sounds like a silly question and one which surely doesn’t have to be voiced so early on with the project? Actually, visualising the final output for the video is a really key part of the planning process. Things like music and visual features can also be considered depending on where and how they will be used so coming with this in mind will be useful.
